intake, exhuast, chip, headers, i dont think you can afford a turbo for only 1500 so jsut buy some small stuff. go to cardomain.com then go to the store and go to parts for my car and choose your audi then just browse and read through some of it
you might be able to get a used turbo charger for cheap, but with that you'll hafta get a chip and a whole bunch of other shit to control your boost, try cold air intakes, take out your catalytic converters and put in some striaght pipe, get a crooked car inspector to run up your car's exhuast under another car
Why would you turbo a car to help with low end power? A turbo will not produce boost right off the line, and to be able to handle a good amount of boost your engine would need some major mods. An N/A engine will have a much higher compressin ratio than a forced induction engine due to the fact the forced induction engines are far more prone to detonation. You could try to combat detonation with a super high octane fuel but that would be fucking stupid for a dd.
haha for sure, get a 300 shot direct injected nitrous. and toss in a purge valve for show. that'll boost everything. mostly your car to the junk yard once everything breaks under the stress.
im not really car smart at all, but its a 2.7T so isnt it already a turbo? but idk, im taking it to the shop down the street tomarow to see if they hae anysuggestions...just trying to get a first opinion here
did u miss the part about getting a crooked tester to run a different car's emissions up under your car's title? or move to florida...no emissions standard, but if you pull the cat's you can get the turbo to spool over at a lower rmp, say about 1500-1750, meaning almost no turbo lag, and there are mod chips running from about 500 to a grand that will allow you to modify how much boost your running, i know a guy with a honda accord with 800 hp under the hood, alot can be done with your car, and it is already turboed, you left out the part stating the engine
Nitrous is not what you are looking for unless you are going to spray everytime you put your foot on the gas.
A turbo will not help low-end power WHATSOEVER. A turbo must spool up, which results in what is known as turbo lag. (turbos kick ass on your top end though...).
There aren't many ways to shortcut your way to some low-end torque as it is typically a function of displacement and displacement alone. For $1,500 I'm betting you could work the intake and exhaust a bit but be careful, it sounds counter-intuitive but upgrading to a much larger diameter exhaust or intake system will actually hurt low-end torque.
In order to produce low end torque engines like to breathe through longer runners on the intake side, and an exhaust system that doesn't just dump after the manifold. It all has to do with the manner in which the air is flowing (turbulent vs. laminar). All of these modifications, however, help the car produce a lot of power on the top-end. At high RPMs the engine doesn't give a fuck about laminar flow, it just wants AIR and as much AIR as it can push through.
In short, there is no efficient way to make that Audi of yours a torquey beast for $1,500.
dude, audi allroads are known for having aweful low end power, meaning you stop your foot on the gas and it lurches foward then it kicks in and you shoot out, but it really pisses me off at some intersections
