i think i should get a pair, skiing on east ice of course is where these skis would shred the hardest. and seeings where sugarloaf gets 100 inches a day ill pick these up
I skied one groomed run late in the day in Spring conditions and it was the worst ski I tried all day. It just felt horrible underfoot, so unstable it was scary - I ended up doing a straightline/sideslip/straightline/sideslip to get down the hill. I'm 6'4 and 185lbs and a good skier. Flex wise, it's pretty similar to the Gotama as I remember.
the 190 (which I have) is stiffer than last year's 175 and the people I spoke with who got to ski it for Volkl (200lb guys) clled it rock solid stable at speed, so I pulled the trigger
when I received it, I checked the flex, which I would agree is Gotama-stiff all around, which I think is perfect for powder
