Yo i was just at smuggs today hiking whats left of the pipe and I checked out stowe (its right on the other side of the notch) and they have even less snow then smuggs... with this rain it might be iffy for this weekend...
The railjam is on Mt. Mansfield, they pushed in the halfpipe so most of that snow is still there. It is probably 4-5 hundred feet long just to the left of the quad (looking up), on the right side of that trail.
Usually the last patches of snow on the mountain is a layer of workable snow on top with ice underneath so I think you'll still have it even with the rain.
umm i have a question its gonna be like a 4hour drive for me to get up there but it says the event is only from 11-1, will people keep skiing until 3 or 4 and if i get ther earlier can i start skiin???
stowe doesnt have lights except for on one trail very far away from where the rail jam is. besides do you really think they'd waste energy by turning their lights on for us for free?
hahaa i was talking about alyeska....yeah i know what nightskiing is tho, my mountain has it too. i was just wondering if resorts in alaska had night skiing.
