how so... the risk is the same... you still do one revoultion being upside down.. the risk of injury is the same. However the difficulty of a backflip is much easier

because if you don't get the bacflip around you get mangled and like fold in half or catch your tips if your close, on a lincoln loop you at least see the ground coming, and if you are close you just slide on your side, but you can see the whole time so its easier to correct

Because doing a quarter or 3/4 of a backflip is much worse than doing a quarter or 3/4 of a lincoln

whatever you do, dont concentrate so hard on hucking it around that you forget to pop,
if you dont pop your either gonna stall and die or get no air and flip super fast out of control like sliping on banana peel

what sort of motion is needed to initiate a lincoln? is it just a shoulder drop? do you look like when spining?

Backflips are hella easier. Lincolns feel weird but look cool.

Drop your shoulder and bring your feet around. You have to throw it back farther than you think too.

for some reason the rotation for a lincoln seem totally unnatural for me whereas the backflip rotation seems easier to me. not that i can do either but in the pool backflips are easier

becareful because a skiing backflip is a gainer in a pool which is much more dificult then a regular back flip. I can do a lincoln on a tramp but i can't comit to a backflip.

is a ski backflip not the same as running foreward on the dive board and throwing back?

aswell i find that when you do lincolns off clifs the first couple times, if you don't make it around just untuck and land on ur back

But it is still quite dangerous so make sure you can do them on a trampoline or something first
