telemarking looks so badass. it looks like a new chalenge. the problem is. i dont want to spend 600 bucks on equipment to find out i dont like it. does anybody know of any stores that rent equipment for them(my hill does not) or anybody in ontario wanna trade equipment for a day? or just any tips would be sweet. thanks.
its real ill, come to www.freeheellife.com and check it out, get some insight on the sport and shit, def go to EMS and rent some Karhu Agents, the hottest tele specific park ski out there... good luck son peace
no offence i think it looks kind of retarded especially in the park
i know its harder and shit but until i own every rail in jump with every possible trick with my eyes closed i dont need an extra challege. Even then id probably pick not looking like a snow shoer
no i respect it im just saying i dont really understand it in the park. but ya kids who kill it on teles in the park are crazy cause i know its that much harder
damn, i'm super hungover i guess. I thought this thread was about telemarketing at first...couldn't figure out why you wanted to rent equipment...mmm back to bed.
RossiScratch has got it. Go to freeheellife.com and check it out, and see if your mountain has tele days, or at least if you can rent some at your mountain, or demo them from a shop
Mountain equipment co op in calgary does rentals but they might not have any really good equipment. Also try Adventure guide in waterloo. Look up telemark ontario i think they run demo days and clinics in southern onterrible.
i switched awhile ago and i love it. its seriously the only way to go. i wont go back now. and tele skiing is really progressing nicely. i was reading in my tele magazine about a european tele skier and he does insane stuff. he pulls siwtch 7's, 9's, and huge 1's. its awsome. he was there at chads ready to hit it when tanner crashed, and he decided not to. hes my idol now. but anyway, definitly get tele skiing. get into it and then sell your alpine stuff. actually...you just need to sell your bindings and boots. i ride on alpine skis. pistols and skogans.
I can't remember that name of it but my teacher told me about some kind of binding that is just like a tele binding so it had free heel for going up but you can make it like a regular binding for going down.
I want to try tele also. Looks like a lot of fun. Both of my teachers tele all the time.
Tele jibbers are insane. Easily the best park guys there are. I saw one of them hit a 30ft kicker and land on his ass, then he just got up like nothing happened and went and did a flat down flat n landed switch. INSANE.
