Ide Just like to thank everyone who helped me pick out my skis and bindings. I got Line 1260s with Look Pivot 12 bindings. My first day out with them i learned how to pull off a 360, it may not sound like to much but i havent been skiing in the park very long. These skis are super light but somehow i managed to take a big gouge off the tail of one of them. Does anyone have any advice for patching or covering it? Thanks all

If you go to a shop, they can put Gore tex or ptex or whatever its called. I got mine done for 6 bucks, after breakin a piece of the edge off of my skis, along with a chunk. Works well, i see no reoccuring problems with that particular place.

if the gouge is on the bottom, fill it with p-tex, if it is on the top, i suggest covering it with clear nail polish or apoxy

i used epoxy when i lost a chunk of my tail. i just sanded the bottom of and it worked well.

Gore-tex is a 3 ply waterproof/breathable nylon.

Ptex sounds right.

exactly. you fix the base with ptex and wear gore-tex. you people really don't know much about proper ski maintenance
