Marijuana: Dangerous or no?

im sick of every thread about something to do with pot turning into this discussion. so hence the thread about it. i know alot of you have alot to say.

i dont really think its more dangerous than alcohol. i mean millions die from drunk driving and other alcohol related incidents. but i recently saw this "pro pot legalization" pamphlet that said 0 have died from smoking pot. im not saying pot can cause deaths from fights over it, such as with small time gangs and dealers, im saying its just less dangerous and if it was legalized, at least for medicial reasons, it may be a good thing. im not denying the lung cancer thing though.

Eh idk, Id stil think it was the dumbest thing Ive heard of and I personally would fight for it to not be legalized, but yeah probably less of a problem I guess, idk. Honestly....I could give 2 shits less. Im a bored kid in FL...Its just all for fun and games to laugh at cause honestly what else is there to do in the summer

listen you fuckers who think pot aint dangerous, there are these things in cigarettes called carcinogens or however you spell it that have been proven to cause cancer, cigarettes contain around 18 carcinogens while THC, which is the drug in pot, contains around 250, yeah so anyway as they say on south park who wants to 90 anyway

everything in life is dangerous. i guarntee that you will die of something else before you would ever die of marijuana use. and thats a damn fact. so should we stop smoking pot b/c you see it as being dangerous? im not. should we stop skiing b/c its even more dangerous? no way man. thats the shit that lifes worth living about.

no, sorry, your wrong. Marijuana whose active ingredient is thc, does not contain 250 carcinogens. IT DOES contain 400 chemicals though and don't confuse the term chemicals with man made chemicals in cigerettes. Carcinogens are simply anything that promotes cancer. In medical history like I've already said, noone has gotten cancer from weed. Although they don't even know enough about weed to say if it does promote or limit cancer. So far they give weed medicinally to cancer patients so I'm guessing it limits cancer growth. Cigerettes on the other hand have given many people cancer, so I'd say you would need to worry about carcinogens in cigs before weed.
But I'm not gonna lie, weed does have tar, which is a carcinogen.

when im high i can feel like these ball bearings in my joints (knees, elbows, any where that bends) and it feels like little metal balls are rolling around hella fast in my joints. the other night i smoked so much my ears were processing sound at a different rate so i couldnt hear shit normaly it was all mixed together. alsowhen i smoke a super lot im at the frequency of life it feels cool, and i make up my own language such ass. laganguanga means get another hot pocket.

Marijuana does not limit cancer growth. That is absurd. It's used as a painkiller and has a stabilzer. Cancer therapy commonly causes horrendous side-effects and destroys people's appetites. As you may know, marijuana increases appetite and dulls pain reception.

Yep, your definitely right about that, its known marijuana is a pain killer, but I think I just worded my sentence wrong. I know I said they give it to cancer patients so it must limist cancer growth. What I meant was....they give it to cancer patients for pain, yes, but since those patients heal and recover from cancer, the marijuana must not harm them? Who knows though.
Notice how all you said was, "marijuana does not limit cancer growth, that is absurd".... What medical evidence did you back this up with?? Did you make this fact up in your mind?? The fact is there is NO scientific evidence if it does limit or promote cancer growth. So unless your in the lab reseaching this, you can't really make a statement on whether it does or not.

Why are you hiding behind this neutral position when you're making it pretty fucking clear that you'd like to believe marijuana can heal cancer. Sure, sure, you can't prove it, BUT I can't disprove it either, right?...yeah I've seen/heard/spit on this before. Just come out with it and stop bullshitting.

Also: you mentioned that people who use medicinal marijuana "get better." That's not completely accurate either. Some who use it get better, most don't. If people who use it don't get better, how is it eliminating cancer?

If marijuana somehow effects the ability of cancer to survive, I think we'd be hooking up every cancer patient to a gravity bong. Hypothetically, if smoking marijuana somehow could treat cancer directly, why have people who smoke marijuana on a regular basis obtained cancer?

Yeah, yeah, I have no scientific evidence, but I don't need data to disprove that weak argument.

ALL I'm saying is there is no scientific evidence for or against marijuana. The government is too scared to go deeply into this drug for fear that something good may come out of it and then the whole population will hear this.

It's all a big conspiracy, right? Because the good lord knows the U.S. is the only country in the world who is conducting cancer research! So are countries like Canada and Holland who have legalized marijuana in multiple ways (generally and medicinally to be specific) afraid this is going to "get out to the public?" Oh no! We're going to save people's lives! Cant let them know that!

My opinion that marijuana causes cancer? Where the fuck did you get that from? I never said it causes cancer. My point was that, via my reasoning in my last post, marijuana is not curing people, thus destroying your argument that it "could" help.

So according to your logic, the government is avoiding a potential cure for cancer, a cure which would save their conservative asses BILLIONS of dollars? So the rest of the world wouldn't do this either right? Everyone, even countries that have legalized marijuana are too scared to pursue it as a potential cure?
