i was thinking of picking up the 04/05 1080s this year at a ski swap where i culd pick them up major cheap hopefully brand new and i was wondering how they are?i ride 90-95% park so base your post on that if u could...how is the heal cushion/padding and does his help with shin bang?
yeah i agree i want to know whats up to...
i love my teneighty boots. they're light, with a good flex, and they virtually eliminated my shinbang. it's important to remember that landing realllly backseat will probably give you some shin trouble no matter what boots you're wearing, but for normal situations these boots sure helped a lot.
my level of radness... it just can't... be quantified.
the padding in them is awsome. I can feel the edge of the steps when I walk down the stairs. but I fucked up my angle when I landed a 540 cause I flexed to much. make sure you don't do this cause it takes a LONG time to heal. so I tighten the shin buckle tight. other than that, I love them!
because I like poop.
i have the 03/04s and their still soooo good, they pretty cheap too cuz they r a couple years old

ive tried the 1080s and thier nice as hell but the tecnica diablo burns are just insane... their liner is alot nice then the 1080's and the flex is and tiny bit better for me when i tried them... plus the lower cuff made a nice improvement and the rapid access was awsome for easy entry...so if u have a chance to check those out..JUST DO IT
I used mine for two days before I had to modify them. The shell is fine but the liner is super shitty. The powerstrap is also very useless. I used my crossmax 10 liner and a booster strap and they were fine. Worst liner ever. I could feel the buckles on the top of my foot. I'm gonna ride the pro model this year. If you can afford it and are a good skier pro model is the way to go. I'm sure I will get slagged for dissin the 1080 but
^ but its just my opinion.
1080 boot with the absoarbtion footboard is great for people who are on a budget. Can't really beat the price. As far as the Pro Model boot goes I feel it is the best boot on the market that you can by no matter what type of skiing you like to do. The liner is sick and the boot is made with a Spaceframe outershell which makes the boot lighter and also allowing the boot to flex were you need it to when you are skiing.
