Alright, here's what you gotta know: (I'm a human kinetics major so don't anyone call me an idiot cuz I'm not and this is my field of study)
1) To get abs you need to reduce your body fat. For guys aim below 10% and girls below 15%.
2) All you need to do are QUALITY crunches. Don't swing your arms, don't belt them out as fast as you can and don't stop short. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY. I do sets of 25 and I get a burn. I can do over 500 the way I used to do them (improperly). You don't need to hang from a bar or use a bouncy ball or contort yourself, just straight proper crunches. Knees bent, hands behind the neck, count 2 up hold for one and 2 down. Go up as far as possible.
