ive seen the mens slopestyle 2 years in a row and its tight even tho you have a better view on a tv, still want to see mens superpipe but it is always on monday night or somethign wierd like that so i can never go

MOUNT SNOW REPRESENT!!!!!!!! We just got a 22' Zaug so the pipe would be insane. INFERNO is inferno and nothing beats it in the east. OK what else do you need. Mount Snow would put on such a sick event.

mount snow needs better rails tho....i tink they should make a better jump line too like near teh bottom instead of having the big like 80ft then 50ft they should put in like 3 tables rhythme section style. so like a 60ft into 50 into 40 if they have room. but the top should be mainly rails until you get to areas iwth enough speed to have a jump. i found that to be a problem with their park. up top i think they had 2 or 3 jumps with only enough speed for 1

^ did you ski there at all last winter. You are totally wrong. It like this....

c-box, butterbox, (option) down rail that they switched to an up rail and then a regular street style down rail, (option) jump which was hard to clear but possible and another up rail, (option) big rainbow or 40ft. stepdown, massive hip, downflat down, then the 80fter and then the 50 at the bottom.

If you ask me. it was perfect. if there were no people you could easily do a sick top to bottom that was fun as hell.

hmmm most of the stuff was the same as when i went but when i wa there which was during the snowstyle and hucker it didnt have as many rails up top. but id like to see more tech rails in their park but hey i cant really complain considering going to mt snow for me is a privalege and a damn good ski trip haha

Aspen Skiing Company and espn are negotiating a contract that will keep the x games in aspen untill at least 2010 if not permanently. Espn like the venue because all the events are located so close to gether and it takes less cameras and a smaller crew to telivise it, also the aspen ski co is extreamly coopertive with all there needs. Also the venue is easier to mananage because it has fewer people attending while at the same time giving the impression that there are 3-4 times as many people there than there realy are. this means less people to deal with and lower costs.

having it in aspen is awesome, because its really well set up for all the people, the venues, and all that. plus they have good night life when tons of people are in town so it all works out

ESPN continually seeks to maintain the games at Aspen due to the loaction of the arena, ie. pipe, slopestyle copurse, moto x jump, sno x course and skier x course. The reason why they love it so much is because it is so easily accessible by spectators and they can guarantee a huge crowd no matter what. Creates a much better spectacle than a comp that's held at the mid section of the mountain, let alone the top. There's no need for gear or lift passes for spectators. Its all free.

I hate to start shit, but there is no way they would bring the X-Games back to the east coast. The majority of the X-Games "Market" is on the west. They could not make nearly as much money out there, the crowd turn out would be much less. Plus I dont think many of the riders would like that. A hard ass icey park is nobody's favorite. If anything they would go to Mammoth or Vail if the freeskiing open stops. I doubt Whistler b/c they ESPN probably wants to avoid going out of country for the event. What it comes down to is Colorado just makes sense business wise. Aspen may not have Mammoth's park but it is in the highest concentration of major ski areas in the America's. Which means you get more tourists to go and watch for a night. You guys have your East Coast Freeskiing Open anyway, and I am sure with the East Coast still blowing up you will get new competitions so just be patient.

Park City would be cool. All the other resorts around would draw crowds. People from SLC would go to it. The hill is rad. The town in Park City is also quite nice.

Park City is actually making a bid for the X Games when Aspen's contract runs out. The big problem they're having is X comes at the same time as Sundance (PC's moneymaker).
