Line inverts all the colors of their bases to use up as much of the dye as possible. All Line skis have regular and inverted color schemes- for example, most Chronics were white lettering, black base. Mine were black lettering on white base.

By "dye" he meant die-cut P-TEX. It is more cost effective to inverse the P-TEX cutouts from one pair of skis to the next, plus it mixes it up a bit as well. Snowboard companies do that through their size runs.
