sony's aren't as user-friendly, and the tapes are way more expensive. Too much hassle for not much, if any, better picture quality.

I got mine from expresscameras.com

they have differen't packages, and all are chaper than buying direct from canon. Check it out:

i got a whole package with my gl2 off e-bay that is super sick. i was kinda nervous about ordering a $2000 camera off of e-bay, but it ended up being a really good value with a really nice accessories package.
