Name my ski hill.

Whaleback mountain in Enfield, New Hampshire needs a new name. I am looking for your suggestions.

Whaleback will be a new type of facility efffectively combining summer and winter (for lack of a better term) action sports. There will be a skatepark indoor and outdoor, trampolines, a foam pit, a water ramp, obviously skiing and riding, half the hill will be park with a superpipe, dirt jumps, anything and all things creative and progressive. I have been trying like hell to name this dream spot, but not having much success. What is your input? If you name it, you will get a pass to this playground, and you will have bragging rights. post or email me at whaleback@myexcel.com

First off, my uncle already tried to do this last winter on a beat down old hill. He wanted a place for all the kids since my cousin's are like the best snowboarders in WNY. He had more than enough money, but the compay sold it to another ski corp. So if you already have a hill, or have tons of money, or have no cometition to the mountain then go for it. But even if you have more money to offer for the hill then the already set company, they probably won't sell to you. Mostly because the owners still have claims on the hill and they don't want to see it screwed like they are now.

This is something that has been in the works for awhile. It's being done by Evan Dybvig (if for some reason you didn't know), who is a olympic skier.

On the old website (http://www.whaleback.com/)of whaleback, it has a link to Evan's NEW site (http://www.whalebackmountain.com/).

I think he is very serious about this and he definitly has the plan laid out and is ready to go as soon as he gets the finacial backing (as far as I know that is the only thing really holding it up, but correct me if I'm wrong).

mi mountain - MI is short for mirror image- the idea being that we would be a mirror image of your desires.

Zero Gravity at Whaleback

Those are a couple that I keep coming back to. Thanks to you all for your input. Maybe we can put together a poll on which ones you all like best.

What about naming after a legendary skier or filmmaker? like Mt. Morrison, or maybe Mt. Miller? If it is a newschool-haven call it like Mt. Hall or Mt. Cusson or something like that.

To be honest, I quite dislike the name shredland. mi mountain is decent, and Zero Gravity at Whaleback is my favorite of the 3 you listed.

the only thing that hasnt been done is the financial stuff? Isn't that the hardest part? how close are you to actually owning this mountain? I dont like shredland, it sounds corny. zero gravity just sounds too much like your average skate park. i like MI mountain. this is a really sick idea and i hope you get the mountain.
