To tell you the truth, I would be happy if I got one other person to not buy their shitty movie. Chances are however they will feel a bigger impact. I'm going to convince my manager at the shop I work for not to purchase any MSP this year, so that should be at least 40 copies.

Anyways sno-man i would like you to take it down a notch as that dishwater comment cut REAL deep.

Msp might be jackasses n yearbook might have sucked but ski movies n focoused were good n yearbook had crazy shots... i think the trailer looked sick n i liked that song better than hip hop for sure....

if you're on ns you know where skiing is and where it's going. But there are still tons of skiers who know nothing about it, all they know is that msp is a huge ass ski movie company, they buy it to seem cool, these are the same kids who wear mosleys clothes. It's not worth it to get too worked up. there's nothing you can do, except supporting companys that are in the direction you want skiing to go. Ple House is all over it. And as of now no other teasers have even touched theirs as far as uniqueness and style. Let the kids skiing on 1080's buy the fucking msp movie, pretty soon msp will start to be more associated with those kids and will then get even gayer. And kendrick does it really matter how well someone skis if they are not a pro skier? If you see the msp guys tell them they suck, they probably don't care, I think i heard somewhere they had around a million dollar budget for the movie this year. Looks like they wasted their money.

Yeah they wasted there money doing ugly heli shots. And doesn't PBP look cooler than msp so isn't that what people should buy. And who cares where the fuck skiing goes and its not a fucking ski movie that 's gonna change the world.

if you gave any other production company a million dollar budget they would blow msp out of the fucking water. Just like someone said earlier, looks like their last movie but with new gear. And a single movie can change a sport is if's good enough, MSP's movie isn't going to do shit except jerk back on the reins.

Honestly shut the hell up and quite complaining, MSP drops a pretty sick viudeo every single year, and they don't sell well because they suck, they put more money into your sport then PBP has since they start probably. Why do they have that much money? Cuz they make mountain bike videos and crap too and because they have the best skiiers that have the best sponsors that pay the best buck, sounds to me like they are doin things right. But then again since they were core like 8 years ago they can't be now because they set the line for skiing almost every year. You guys just act biased to sound cool. Whats so special about redtape? Absolutely nothing, why don't you bag on it. The editting sucked, there wasn't that many cool things in it, and it was short as hell. MSP kicked their ass. period

Yay, Ski movie 6!

Slow mo is overused in skiing, and unbelievably so in MSP movies. You can watch them once and they're pretty good, the skiing is ok, the cinematography is amazing, but the editing is so bad and it just gets old. The music sucks too. MSP is pretty much the new Warren Miller, our parents would like it, but core skiers know whats what.

minus the intro, redtapes editting was nothing special, how long is that section of a guy finding a tv and turning it on? like 3 minutes, same with Phil Dion running around trying to act like a boxxer. Then he doesn't do anything sick, there is nothing in his section that would ever progress the sport of skiing. Its mostly just clip to clip. And yeah i do know alot about editting, I have been running final cut pro hd on a G4 for almost 2 years and nothing they did was that difficult. All that lettering and crap is preprogrammed, they just have to type pout the words and pull them in line. Some of their shot were cool yes but, Just to compare, there were no BC cliffs pushing the 80 foot range in the whole video, there was in this teaser. No one in that video does an invert off a rail, someone did it in this video. Slow mo cam shot do look sic, and its showing off the cinematography. Those shot were so amaziongly clear compared to anything Redtape could put out. The shot of the bio 5 i think with the sunset is amazing, or the heli follow shot awesome as well. You don't have to buy their videos, or like the guys who run it but the proof is in the video, better cinematography and better skiing.

And you would rather see a urban drop before a BC gap? That helps make your point. A 180 from 15 feet to flat, most of the decent riders on here could do after like 10 tried and they would probably. Chads Gap? No one here would even think about it if they got there and looked.

o wow you've been running fcp on a g4 for 2 years holy smokes! Redtape wasn't made for skiers like you, who would never appreciate it. Some kids on here hiked to chads gap and hit it. And it doesn't matter who can do what it's about who does it first. You can sit around all day and have ideas but they don't mean shit if you don't do anything about them. And yes, we all know livetype can make fancy titles. one of the biggest mistakes in the msp trailer was cutting the faint song short and throwing in the white stripes. but hey fuck it, you're the editing master, you know best.

you know I never said I was the master, I just said I have a good basis of editting and it doesn't take much to do redtape the way they did. and read my aboe post about things that haven't been dun.

some people are saying the "core" is a bunch of park rats. The "core" is more like skiers you've never heard about who can rip big mountain lines stick huge cliffs. Then go to the park and kick everyones ass in there too.

And like said above skiing big mountain is way more hardcore than skiing down a perfectly groomed run hitting perfectly groomed jumps. The backcountry in unpredicatable and is not to be Fucked with!

MSP might have more money than the 100% park film companies, but if you put yourself in the shoes of a skier like Hugo Harrison, he charges sooo fucking hard. I'd pay to see how hard he's pushin it.

Phrosty - listen up! 99.999999% of skiers do =nt give a crap about our fringe sport....the people who buy the lift tickets and rent skis and take lessons and ski only a few weekends a year are the majority of this sport!!! Your close minded attitude and park centric focus shows that you have zero clue about the direction of this sport. The future, if we have one (due to the spiking reality boom around ski towns) is in families taking thier kids to the hills....AND movies like MSP's which are professionally done and viewable by all audiences unlike the crappy skate inspired, boozy the clown shit that you all crave, are what keeps these people stoked on our sport...without MSP/Warren Miller/RSN/Picabo/Mosely etc....the general public would not give a shit about our sport...and guess what...Terrain Parks are not cheap and without the increased intrest in our sport through any means necessary we wont have anything to jib/jump or play on in the future....

your microscopic view of this great sport is irratating and retarded....go live in a ski town and work at a mountian for 15 years and youll learn what the real world views of us....

I have lived in a ski town, I have worked at a mountain, in the park actually. And there is no way that you can say that ple house movies are not ciewable by the general public. WHo buys ski movies? not grandpa's and mothers. It's people like us who are commited to the sport. SO whats wrong with wanting someting good to watch when I'm the one buying it? ANd I also said earlier the people who buy msp movies don't really know whats up. Please read everything before you make generalized comments, it's "irratating and retarded"

I actually watch more TGR then anything, its just you don't see back country at all in some of these new skater style vids, which is a good way of putting it. My point is that I buy alot of videos, and MSP compares equally if not better then most, 1242 and Redline both I was not happy with the fact I spent 15 bucks but year book it was worth it after seeing abma's first line, or those heli shots that circle that whistler jump.

sage is tgr's boy so awful example, the point we're trying to make here is msp is fuckign slacking, their not living up to their potential. yea they have great cinematography, with their budget anyone could. they lack the editing talent, which although not that important certainly contributs teh the feel and sickness of a video. they should be making movie of the years every year.

theyre just content to sit back, book the mediocre athletes of the newschool scene, hire somone to do a fly-along in a heli, and tape it with a rediculous camera, they only thing they have to do it keep the rider in the shot (what everyone does). noone else ("core") has the budget to make that shot.

they have a monopoly on alot of the big mountain skiiers because the skiers knwo that they need heli access and heli-shots to make big mountian look good. (is level 1 going to do this?)

the very idea that they dropped the athlete who brought them to where they are today and wh is still the best big mountain ripper when healthy should be rediculous enough to make everyone shun them on principle alone.

"BASE jumping is the best sport ever evented. Everyone should go out and order "BAse Jumping Baffin Islands" with Shane and Miles. Rails on skies look like roller blading.
