Exremely fast driving

My brother drives incredably fast almost everywhere....he dosnt do it to show off or anything he just loves driving fast...for example in a residential area (speed limit 25) we have hit speeds in excess of 100 miles an hour.....now i am a good co pilot and have a sharp eye for cops and know how much our car can take before it skids out (1992 volvo 870 wagon with yakima Z rated tires) but we have come very close to death but have never been in any extreme accidents....anyways I was just wondering if any of u guys drive like this and what i can make my brother do to drive slower so he dosnt kill himself, me, or anyone else.

haha my friends brother drives wicked fast, one time he was taking me and another kid to the movies and it was raining wicked hard and on one road the speed limit was 30 and he was going like 75 and then on the highway he was hydroplaning the whole way and he has a huge stereo in his car and the bass was so loud

yeah i got going 105 with 6 people in my car. and like half of them were over 200 pounds. then on the high way i got going 110 but i wasnt even trying to go that fast. i have a 98 accord.im not good enough or wanna fuck my car up enough to do rally slides and shit.

my sister told my parents i drive too fast. now if i get one ticket, im never driving again. try squealing. it worked for my sister. fastest ive ever got going was 230 km/h in my subaru outback sport it was pretty sketch.

naw i like going fast too but sometimes he even scares me....when i have my friends in the car we will scare the shit out of them by going semi fast and thats cool but when its just me and him it gets kinda crazy...i wouldnt want to get him in troublw...i just want to change his habits

Just let him keep driving like that, he'll get his day. It's most likly going to be a 200+ doller speeding ticket and license revoked, but in those rare cases he could get himself seriously injured. Just give him good advice and hope he makes the right decision.

something will happen to the car and you will bring it in and the mechaninc will say the car has had the shit drivin out of it day after day and it needs new everything.
Seriously if you drive your car gentle it becomes a lot more responsive when you need it/ want it. Driving the shit out of it will turn it into a slow piece of shit inside one year. Tell him to drive fast in straight lines or buy a suspension that won't kill a kid on the sidewalk.

my brother has like a 98 prelude, 18's, 12 inch sub, tinted windows, neon guages, neon pedals, and neon interior lights wtih a lightup flip out stereo system, his motor is v-tec so at 4,000 rpm's it kicks in like a turbo. the next shit hes doign is getting it turbo'ed and doign a shit load of engine mods, he will be running 18 psi with a blowoff valve the size a a trumpet hahaha, it should be sick. one time we did 80 through an s bend with rocks all around it that said you were sopossed to go 10. theres many more story's but yeah, i typed enough.

a stock 98 outback legacy that has been beat on a bit (im assuming) may be able to hit 120 but thats doubtful...im not exactly sure but not all that fast...anywhew from 110 to 120 if ur pushing it

uh i drove like a crazy fuck and then rolled my truck on this back country road when i was 16. didnt get hurt but i was kinda afraid to drive fast for a while. i learned how to control my car a lot better from driving really fast and doing slides on purpose etc.

yeah, ive hit 140 mph in my WRX. but i love it. it gives me a rush i cant get anywhere else but skiing and driving. and i get a feeling of fearlessness, im not afraid at all when i drive fast, i should be but im not which makes me push the limits even more. anybody else have this problem?

yah, for real, thats just stupid. theres so much that can go wrong specially in an old car. but thers always things like deer and shit, that you have no control over. if you want that same rush of speed:

as suggested, buy a street bike
go to the tracks
get a car like mine if you want a rush.

the thing stalls all the time, and it has happend in the middle of busy intersections. thats a rush.

I used to have a miata with racing slicks I would rally down country roads in excess of 90 mph, no one would like riding with me. But I have read multiple books on race driving,shifting and braking techniques and I consider myself to be a very technical and skilled driver, but I have a truck now and obey the speedlimit. I look back and consider myself lucky for not hitting a patch of gravel and dying. but when I get older I will prolly live in a trailer with a 600,000$ sportscar in the driveway. Thats one of the few things I care about, someday I will own an exotic supercar

piot is right, half these posts are bullshit. I'm pretty sure, for example, the 1990 Legacy dude is lying because the fastest my '95 can really go under its own power is 100, and that needs a fucking long stretch of road. Maybe down a hill? I think the gearing would allow it at the top of 5th, but it would be a long fucking shot in my car, and those early '90s wagons really don't look like they would be up to doing 100, let alone 125.

Next week I am purchasing a moped that will top out at a lofty 55 mph.. but it gets 90 miles to the gallon! (plus the two-stroke oil).
