their park is ok, the rest of the mountain is boring . . . but if it's really storming, that's the place to be, while squaw and alpine are dealing with 80 mph winds, you'll be floating down through the trees
my personal opinion is that alpine meadows is a good place to go.. less crowded and less attitude than squaw, and there are lots of inbounds areas that require hicking, so you can claim snow where everyone else is too lazy to go. and its not far from northstar. just roll south on 395 thru tahoe city and it turns into 89, five minutes or so from the city youre at alpine. another few minutes and youre at squaw, which is also rad.
