Apple and Intel

Just read in the newspaper that mac will be moving over too intel chips from ibm. This is going to totally change the makeup of the mac processor. Now we will have the processor that microsoft uses. Fuck. And it says they are doing it because it will make the macs cheaper. Okay, but mac targets a specific group of people and those people who are faithful to mac don't mind paying extra for a better computer.

No one I know buys macs for the processor, people like macs because of the nice interfaces, nice programs, and they are easy to use. Using Intel processors would only make them better. Besides, Intel's next generation of processors is going to be amazing.

Yea I saw some bullshit msnbc article about it. It won't happen. This same type of rumor got spread a few years back. Not that it would fucking matter, I hate Intel as much as Apple.

i hope it does happen intel is the shit i hate the "g" prossesors every mack im on freezes up and i have to force to shutdown .. the os platform isnt all that much easyer ne ways just dfrent and looks more techy but it just uses more visual memory and ram tending to fuck up the computer more .. i think intel would be a great inprovment on any apple hope to got its not rumor

There've been rumours that Apple will develop OSX for PC for a while now. I think you can even buy/download an emulator that will allow it too.. but at a performance cost of course. That would be nice though... then office people everywhere would be able to surf all the porn they want without worrying about spyware.

once again the only reason windows users get hammered with spyware and shit is because they are the largest group of users. why would anyone target macs when they represent something like 3% of the population? if os x was actually used by a decent amount of people, you'd probably see a lot more crap happening on them, because there is STILL no patch for human stupidity (sorry, stolen). BTW, you can pretty much get os x on an x86 platform, it's called bsd... *insert sarcism here - fucking cultists*

I highly doubt it. OS X is unix based afterall. security concerns on nix computers are taken and treated very seriously due to the fact that they rule the server market. it comes down to stupid users who download and double-click on everything they see.
