Following Brooke's info on the Nintendo Revolution (Nintendo's next gen console), here's a piece of text posted by a supposed developer on a forum. It's not clear weather this is to trust or not, but apparently this is a pretty safe source. Oh man, E3, I can't wait.

"Brooke got some things right, but much of it is flawed. I don’t know whether he just made up a lot of that stuff, because many of the points have been disproven before. For instance, Game Informer wrote an article on the next generation consoles in which it claims the Revolution’s controller will have one giant touch screen. I’m thinking this is where Brooke got that idea. The Revolution will not have a touch screen. Iwata has stated this before. The controller will be quite normal in the sense that it will have a d-pad and buttons. Like I said, I’m not going to tell you the revolutionary aspect of the system. Nintendo has some cool pre E3 plans for that.

First off, the 3D visuals he mentioned have nothing to do with the system. Nintendo isn’t crazy.

It will also have gyroscopic controls, but like Brooke said, not all the games will use it. For instance, earlier I mentioned Nintendo has a Halo killer in development for the Revolution. This game will use the gyroscopic controls for aiming as wel as other things. Our game isn’t using this function.

The controller will be wireless; he’s right about that. As you also know, the Xbox 360’s controllers will be wireless as well. Where do you think they got this idea? That’s why Nintendo is still trying to determine what to show at E3. From what I’ve heard, they will show the design of the system as well as games. I’ll tell you about the software later though.

The controller will also be pressure sensitive. The pressure you put into it will determine certain things, such as movement. This is another optional capibility. Someone on Nintendo’s board mentioned this months ago. They said that “touching is good, but feeling is better.� This may sound strange, but it provides great controls. Racing games will really be helped by this control setting.

The Nintendo Revolution will also include voice control more advanced than anything seen so far. Nintendogs is just the beginning. To achieve this, Nintendo sent us headsets (similar to ones you can use for Xbox Live) that are wirelessless communicating with the console. Imagine being able to merely call for an airstrike or reload your gun by giving out commands orally. So far, we have put this feature to the test the most; as you can see, I’m excited over this feature.

From a graphical perspective, the Nintendo Revolution is very powerful. Many people seem to think this won’t be the case, but rest assured. The games I saw while working at Nintendo were very beautiful. I’ll tell you about those later.

As Nintendo has stated before, the system will be online. In my eyes, the online system they have set up is the most revolutionary part of the system. While Sony and Microsoft are busy turning their systems into trojan horses for their other electronic devices, Nintendo is going to use the Revolution for direct communication with gamers. The only way I can describe it is as an internet service. Imagine turning it on and checking your mail on the system. You see previews and demos of DS and Revolution games that you can download. A magazine similar to Nintendo Power will be exclusive to the system, and you will be able to access it on the Revolution’s homepage. As you check you mail, you will also see various invitations from gamers on your buddy list who want to play you. There are so many other ways this is going to be used. Once the Revolution comes out, there will be no reason to hang out on message boards. Message boards as well as chat rooms will be available on the Revolution so that gamers can discuss and challenge each other all day. And the best thing is that the entire thing is totally free and easy to use. Why play Madden on Xbox Live when you’ll be able to play it for free on the Revolution with much better services?

That’s all I’m going to reveal for now. There are some very interesting games in the horizon for the Revolution; I’ll talk about them later."

"From what I’m hearing, the Revolution will have some impressive 3rd party support around launch. EA, Capcom, Namco, Konami, Majesto, Squaresoft (sorry, I still call them that), and my company are supporting it so far. I’m sure others are working on stuff. For instance, I don’t see why a game like Soul Caliber III won’t be on the Revolution. Squaresoft has a game ready for E3, as well as Zoonami. So yes, it looks like it will get better 3rd party support. But this could change if the system is unsuccessful.

I’m currently working on one Revolution game. Right now, we are still in the early stages of development. We have alot of concrete things down, but not enough to show I don’t think. Of course this could change if our publisher wants us to show our hand at E3.

We are working on a 3rd person action game. It is a recreation of a classic series that I felt could have been one of the most successful IP’s of the 1990’s. It will include the pressure sensitive controls I mentioned, but they will be optional. We are also using the voice controls for weapon and vehicle customization as well as AI controls. Since the game will be online, we are putting the online function to the test. Right now it’s going to provide 40 person multiplayer battles, but this could change (and increase) in time. We are also excited about using the revolutionary aspect of the system to create new ways to experience the genre. It will be like Halo and Ratchet and Clank 3 mixed.

"Silicon Knights is not developing for the Nintendo Revolution right now. They will show off some Xbox 360 games at E3; I can confirm that. Matt saw the game, and he knows what they are up to. Once he is able to talk about it, he will reveal his information to you.

Like I said, I know as much about Resident Evil 5 as you do. I would guess it is going to be a current generation game. If Capcom could have it ready for the holidays (to combat the Xbox 360), it would come out then. But that’s just my own speculation (and hope; RE4 is amazing).

I can confirm that Nintendo is currently working on many Revolution titles. Most are just in the planning stages, but I have seen video of seven. I’m sure at least three or four of these games will be at E3 in video form. Perhaps more; we will see at E3. Outside of our game, there are six 3rd party games that I have heard of. As I mentioned earlier, Square Enix (happy now?) is developing a new game for the Revolution. EA, Sega, Zoonami, Namco, and Activision are currently working on games.

3rd party information:

EA is playing around with the Revolution’s capibilities, implementing them into another Madden game. This isn’t really news though. From what I’ve heard, they are really going out of their way to make this more than just a port. Voice controls are being used to the max in this title. Calling out audibles will be used this way. The wireless capibilities of the system are also going to be used. Like I said, there will be no reason to buy Madden for the Xbox 360 when the Revolution version comes out.

Sega is developing three games for the Revolution that should be at E3. I’m not going to reveal too much on what they are up to for obvious reasons. The three games I listed does not include the game we are developing for them. You will be very suprised at what they are doing. I’m sure you have heard of the Xbox 360 title Condemned that they are working on. This game is something that many wouldn’t expect Sega to make; you won’t expect what you will see at E3. The other game they have is a typical, quirky Sega game. It’s very interesting in the sense that it uses all the system’s capibilities.

Zoonami has already given out some hints on what they are working on. I have always felt that Sam Fisher is a much better character than Solid Snake. Zoonami just might have some characters that are better than both of them.

Namco is working on a Revolution game, but I don’t have details on it. I am sure that it is not a Soul Caliber III port. I don’t see why they just won’t add online play and Link and Ganon to the game and release it as a launch title. That would be a very smart move.

Activision is working on some ports for the Revolution. You will see what they have for the Xbox 360 at E3. At least one of these games will be ported to the Revolution for its launch.

On 1st party information:

Like I said, I have seen seven Nintendo titles, some of which will be at E3. When the DS was launced, it had one sub par 1st party game. This will not be the case with the Revolution’s launch. If they were to release all the games I’ve seen at launch, it would easily be the best launch ever for a console.

I can confirm that Nintendo is working on a new, orignal Mario game. In my opinion, the last few Miyamoto games havn’t been that interesting. This will change with this game. Like Mario 64 for the N64, this game will introduce all of the capibilities of the console. It will use the pressure sensitive controls mainly, but the voice controls as well as gyroscopic controls will be used as well. From what I saw, this game will use mini games to introduce many of these schemes. All of these mini games could be released as stand alone games.

A new Super Smash Bros. Melee is in the works as well. This game will demonstrate the online functions of the Revolution. Nintendo has added many new things into the game, included a deeper combat system. Many more special moves are included as well as some very cool suprises. The levels will include some destructible environments, and the characters will be fully customizable. Want to play as Mario in his 80’s outfit? Or would you prefer the 90’s look? It’s your choice. The most innovative part of the game is the different modes. In previous games, you were allowed to play in giant mode, metal mode, small mode, etc. That has changed. You will be able to choose to play in a “Paper� mode (a la Paper Mario), a cel shaded mode (Wind Waker), or Viewtiful Joe-esque mode.

As I said earlier, Retro is working on a Halo killer. This game is going to be one of the best games at E3. In my opinion, StarCraft was the best RTS ever. This game is going to use some similar ideas. In most FPS, you play as a hero trying to save the day. In Retro’s game, they allow you to choose which storyline you want to play, just like StarCraft allows you to play as Terran, Zerg, etc. Biological weapons will play a major part in the game. Imagine fighting in a chemical plant, where toxics are stored everywhere. By shooting them, you emit the toxic. If you get hit by this stuff, many different things may happen. For instance, you may lose sight on the screen, your controls might be inverted or slowed down, etc. Or, if your character gets the fever, the controller might get hot. Very hot. The alien races are very interesting also. You will be able to switch to 3rd person in order to move faster (similar to running in Odd World: Stranger’s Wrath). You will be able to “impregnate� human players by grabbing on to them for a certain amount of time. This will implant a NPC in them, which will burst out at your command, instantly killing the human player. You will then be able to use voice control to command the NPC.

With less than half an hour until Nintendo's E3 conference begins, reputable site Club Skill are reporting that 'Revolution' (previously thought to be a prototype name for Nintendo's next home console) will in fact be the official name; either in that form or as "Revolution System" (RS). If this is true, it is very surprising news.

The article also claims that details published earlier in the day about the console's meagre power (in comparison with PS3 and Xbox360) were errorous, and that it will sport technical prowess on its competitors' level. This, at least, would be welcome news.

Stay tuned for confirmation of this news, and more, in the next hour or so.

Ok I just got done talking to my friend
on the phone, here is what me and him
came up with.

#1 First off, its strange how the registrant of the site is
some guy named "Joshua Yonah". Someone mentioned that "Yonah"
stands for "prophecy" but im not too sure if this can be a clue
or not or what.

#2 Iwata mentioned "Smash Bros." and it being "Online" during the
E3 confrence. Type this in your web browser

Why are both links re-directing?

#3 The website is using the same exact music as from the
Revolution Mock Up Video if you download the Opening Theme. I doubt
that the guy who is running this site ripped it from the video
since the dates of the Revolution Mock Up Video and the
website's update on the MP3 are exactly the same. Also I have
heard from a couple people that both the video and MP3 was
released on the internet at the exact same time.

#4 Notice how the first paragraph of the 2nd page of the website,
the author is talking about Nintendo at E3. Notice how he says
"my eyes are hurting" out of the blue. Does this have anything
to do with the Mario Eyes on IGN and the Reggie Eyes on the
nintendo.com website? Also, Reggie said something about checking
the Nsider forums, notice how Link's eyes are at the top.

#5 At the bottom of the 2nd page of the website, there is a small
jigsaw puzzle piece. Diddnt Iwata mention something about
"puzzle pieces" during the confrence?

#6 Look at the video of the Nintendo E3 confrence. Notice in
the background on the huge screen, they constantly show a picture
of Link pulling a chain of the people's names. Now check out
the "Congratulations Images!" in the Super Smash Bros. 3 website.
That same picture of Link pulling the chain can be found on a
picture of like 10 diferent Links and there is one pulling the
chain.

#7 Now look at the Pokemon page. Now look at Jirachi, he is
the ONLY one that is colored orange. I still cant figure this
one out and neither can my friend. If anyone finds out, please

IGNcube: Speaking about Revolution, we have many questions. At a trade show like E3, it seems that perception is so important. You say that it's not the time to reveal Revolution in full. But with major showings from Microsoft's and Sony's next-generation consoles, do you feel that it hurts Nintendo to remain quiet? That people may incorrectly assume that Nintendo is quiet because it isn't prepared to compete with or lags behind its competition?

Shigeru Miyamoto: You know, I didn't get a chance to see the Sony and Microsoft presentations for myself, but from what I've heard from people it sounds like they are going to be using cutting-edge technology, as are we. However, the way that they are planning on implementing that technology is obviously very different from the route that we're going to be taking. On the business side of things I see where we're going and I see where they're going and I'm not worried at all. I don't think it's going to influence us at all. We're good to go.

IGNcube: We don't have any "tech specs" for Revolution. We don't have an educated idea or an estimate of how powerful the machine will be. Can you shed some light?

Shigeru Miyamoto: Let me pose a question to you. When we launched the Nintendo DS, we didn't really say too much about its power. Do you think we've suffered?

IGNcube: No. Definitely not.

Shigeru Miyamoto: We're kind of in a strange period where power is the crux of whether or not something is going to be successful. So again, that seems a little bit odd. If we rely solely on power of console to dictate to where we're going with games, I think that tends to suppress the creativity of designers. They tend to rely solely on what the technology allows them to do instead of thinking of new and creative ideas.

The way we are approaching the development of Revolution is we pose the questions to ourselves: why is the home console necessary? What functions in a home console would make everyone in the family say, "Yeah, we need that and want that." We pose those questions and the answers to those questions are what's guiding our development.

GNcube: Do we have to wait until E3 2006 for more Revolution info, or do you have a new Space World coming later this year?

Shigeru Miyamoto: That hasn't been determined. We haven't decided yet. I'm sure that there will be information that we'll get out somewhere, somehow, through developers or something. I'm sure there will be some leaks. But next year at E3, everything will be public as far as Revolution is concerned. It will all be out there, which should tell you that we're well into it. It's not that we don't have anything. So next year you'll get it all.

IGNcube: Have Revolution development kits gone out yet?

Shigeru Miyamoto: We have not sent out development kits to developers yet. However, development kits for the Nintendo Revolution are very similar to the ones for the GameCube. So we feel that the environments are so similar that they will be able to start development very quickly upon receiving the development kits for Revolution.

IGNcube: Can you tell us when you'll send out Revolution development kits?

Shigeru Miyamoto: As far as when we're going to be sending out development kits, we don't have set schedule at this point. But I think that if you look at it, the "development kits" that a lot of other companies are sending out, are those really the ones with the latest chips? Are those the ones that have all the latest technology? It's hard to say. I don't think we're going to be that much different from other companies when they are sending out their actual finished development kits. I think we'll be able to send the development kits in a timeframe that pleases the developers. It's going to be in a time when it fits their development schedules well.

IGNcube: We're all assuming that the revolutionary aspect of Revolution is the controller. Do you know what the Revolution is yet or are you still trying to figure that out?

Shigeru Miyamoto: [Laughs] You're doubting me, aren't you? I can see that you're over there mistrusting my word. I understand. [Laughs]

Of course. It's set in stone. It has been determined. I'd love to show it to you. I'd love to be able to show you the features of the Revolution controller and tell you about them. However, unfortunately if we do that too early those ideas would be stolen. We know that from past history. Analog stick. Boom - gone. Rumble Pak. We bring it out and everybody has to have rumble. We got the wireless out first and now there's wireless everywhere. So we have to keep it under wraps.

IGNcube: Coming back to power. We apologize, but if we don't get some answers our readers are going to go insane. What are the tech specs for Revolution? Or, to put it another way, is Revolution as powerful as Xbox 360?

Shigeru Miyamoto: You know, in regard to the power of the Nintendo Revolution versus, say, the Xbox 360, we're looking at making a small, quiet, affordable console. If you look at trying to incorporate all that, of course we might not have the horsepower that some other companies have, but if you look at the numbers that they're throwing out, are those numbers going to be used in-game? I mean, those are just numbers that somebody just crunched up on a calculator. We could throw out a bunch of numbers, too, but what we're going to do is wait until our chips are done and we're going to find out how everything in the game is running, what its peak performance is, and those are the numbers that we're going to release because those are the numbers that really count.

I do think it's very irresponsible for people to say, "This is what we're running on. This is the power of our machine," when they're not even running on final boards. I think the professional's job is to not believe those numbers.

IGNcube: Will you make Kid Icarus for Revolution?

Shigeru Miyamoto: Well, I'm actually working really closely right now with the director of the [original] game. Now, whether or not when we get the Revolution all set up and everything is finalized, well who knows? That might be one of those characters where everybody says, "Hey, with the way our console is designed, that would be a perfect match." My question to you is, if we made this game would you buy it?

IGNcube: Absolutely.

Shigeru Miyamoto: Well, we obviously can't ignore that. Okay, we'll get the Eggplant Wizard coming back.

IGNcube: Can you talk about Revolution's download service? What games will we be able to download?

Shigeru Miyamoto: We have not set a price or determined a list of software for the Nintendo Revolution download service. But, we're looking at this as a consumer service and not so much from the business end. What we want to do is provide the product that is going to make the Revolution the console that people want in their homes. So it actually might be driven from the consumer end rather than from us. You know, the games that they most want might be the ones that we do. From a technological point, we can do any of them. It's just, we haven't determined which ones we'll do yet.

IGNcube: Can we expect Nintendo to collaborate with more third parties on Revolution games?

Shigeru Miyamoto: At this point, we've only been talking with a few companies. However, if other companies come forward and they want to join us to work with us to create games, of course that would be great for us. One thing we want to make sure that we don't do is have too many games of the same type or genre. We don't want too many games involving the same themes or characters.

IGNcube: Will Revolution appeal to the mainstream gamer over the hardcore one?

Shigeru Miyamoto: Our goal with Revolution is to appeal to all gamers -- the casual gamer and the hardcore gamer. On top of that, we really want to get non-gamers involved as well. So it's a console that we want people to feel comfortable with and happy that they have in their home. So for example, you might bring you DS home, turn it on, sit down next to the Revolution and there is some connectivity that allows you to play something that's better than it was with separate components. Our goal really is to build a system that appeals to everybody.

IGNcube: Do you think Revolution will alienate gamers?

Shigeru Miyamoto: No, I don't think we're going to alienate gamers at all. I think if you look at the stuff we have on Nintendo DS, which is really different from anything else out there, people are playing that and really enjoying it. There is going to be software for Revolution that you will not be able to play or experience anywhere else, on any other console, and I think people will find it enjoyable.

most of them talk about Nintendo playing a game with us giving us hints and clues as to what the Revolution will be.

The Shigeru Miyamoto Interview isnt a theory its just an interview in which Shigeru Miyamoto hints a hints at/dodges the questions.

they also point out some weird things going on having to do with the nintendo website, some clues that might mean a Smashbrother 3 online coming

they point out some Nintendo Officials dodging certain questions and jokingly talking about their Revolutions "limited power"

there is way too much in this for me to bring it down to a couple sentences. im just telling you guys that these theories are out there if your interested youll read it if your not interested just dont.

plus many people think that that "nintendo on" was made by Nintendo since it hinted to some things that came in the press conference.

ok in an interview one of the head guys at Nintendo said "IT will be able to play NES Games, SNES, N64, and Gamecube games, all those controllers are pretty different. so what type of controller would you need to play all of these systems with ease. I gave you a clue."

I think that it might be like an LCD/touch screen that changes depending on what your playing. that would be sick. the game dictating the button layout of the controller.

actually, does this mean that what we have seen so far, the dvd drive esque revolution will have a port of the nes games, snes games, n64 cartridges and the mini dvs of the game cube?

from what they said is the last 20 years of Nintendo Games will be downloadable online. the only non-downloadale games will be Gamecube and Revolution games.
