alittle rust color on new skis? a concern or just normal?

um not really just came in today i opened teh box and teh edges( the space where teh inside part of the edge meets the base is that orangish rust color

it's not a big deal. usually it's just surface rust that dissapears once you ride. to avoid it, rub a brick of wax or crayon or anything over them before summer storage. if it gets bad, get a gummystone from a ski shop or hardware store to clean them up with.

its not even a problem...just go ski itll come right off, than use a towel after your last day of skiing so the water is off ur ski and u wont have to worry about it over the summer

If you bought them brand new and they have rust, that'd be a little weird though.

actually, many skis have a little bit of rust when you buy them. it's caused by atmospheric moisture. if you leave your skis in your garage or a wet basement all summer, it will do the same thing

Actually, seeing rust on your edges is a little like seeing the Ring video, just worse: Instant death.

It comes off with sandpaper if it really matters to you.

you can either tune your edges or ski the rust off and wipe your edges dry when your done skiing
