Actually, I believe it was everyone else who kept this going for pages on end. I dropped it after the first page, other people kept it going. I just dropped it again a few posts ago, and yet, here it is, still going. Doesn't it seem a bit hypocritical to you to post something like that? I honestly don't care if this keeps up, I'm perfectly ready to just drop it, but I don't see how you and others making posts like that one helps to accomplish that.

dang, that was a sweet trailer, i thought the contrast at the beginning was awesome and funny.

and for the same price, i get an e battle of the minds between people who can't just leave it at that. i know JD, you said that would be it on page 1, but you still kept going trying to prove yourself right when you actually were. leave it at that. and everyone else, just whatever, he was stating an opinion on the trailer, plain and simple.

i thought it was great. voilà. an opinion.

pretty sweet trailer... i happy to see ppl are actually exploiting the rails here on cuse's campus. there are tons of good rails down on south campus plus some real nice ones on north as long as you don't get caught by public safety. i've always wanted slide a bunch of the rails up here but i suck at rails too much but its nice to see someone's putting them to good use.

this thread has prompted me to state that there are THREE TYPES OF SKIERS in this game of newschool today:
1) These awesome bristol kids who have a love for the sport like no other and live close to a mountain (granted not a good mountain, a shitty lil mountain) and DONT have a lot of cash to get them far.
2) Kids that got the cash to get themselves wherever they want. It doesnt matter if they are close or arent close to a mountain they will get their with their rich background.
3) people like me who live far from a mountain, dont have a lot of cash but still have a love for skiing like no other.

Types 1 and 3 get along the best because they are just in it for the other and repeatly complain ( but have a reason ) about how if they had more money they would get further in the sport-its tru we all know it.

NOW whether or not money WILL make you better- it only gives you the chance it WILL NOT MAKE YOU BETTER because its all about the love for the sport.

Just thought I'd bring that up because these bristol guys have a love for the sport stronger than most people. I mean coming from such a terrrrible mountain it is just absolutely incredible. It truly shows how much dedication they have.

Urban rails can be a risky affair at times. Perhaps you should consider a snowboard park rail that is less risky and more fun. If you wish to pursue this topic please feel free to speak with any of your terrain park representatives or perhaps a ski patroller.

Since this has been sufficiently blown up into something it shouldn't be, I suppose it would only be right for me to clear the air a little so maybe you boys will shake your nagging Eastern inferiority complexes.

I love skiing. East Coast, West Coast, Park, Pipe, Backcountry, whatever gives you that special feeling we're all enjoying every time we're on the hill. The fact of the matter is, I just don't like you. You could have put out the most amazing trailer ever and I still would have shit on it for no other reason than that. Don't take it so seriously, your trailer wasn't bad, some fancy park skiing made up for the ripped off effects and iffy editing. I'm glad you guys have it together enough to make a movie and I hope your customers are satisfied. I would never buy it, but clearly there's a sucker born every minute, so at least you're being enlightened to one of the fundamental tenets of the American dream .

In any case I wish you good luck with your project. Just because I don't like it does not inunsiate that I'm superior to you, or that every skier lucky enough to be out West is a pretentious asshole. The fact that we get to ski real mountains does not make us superior in any way. You hood rats ski park better than I will for quite some time, and probably slide rails better than I ever will. So if that's your thing, cool, I'm happy for you. Don't get your panties in a knot over it, let your movie do the talking.

What I meant by arguing with nobody is that these kids make up I never suggested I hold, claim I'm holding them, and then get really really pissed off so they can feel good about themselves when they swear and say gay a lot on the internet. But seriously West coasters, I am one myself, just need to consider the fact that the opportunities of original footage in the east coast have been exploited as much as they could in these kinds of movies, and the level of park and urban skiing is high and these guys are having fun. Nonetheless, west coast is billions times better and we are lucky bastards to be able to ski it and enjoy different kinds of sweet mountians and a whole different skiing attitude. So let's not bash on the east coasters and respect their obviously present park skills, because kids like that would have the balls to huck cliffs if they were able to.

i just got back from the northwestand i skied grouse mountain, and its pussy. mad river glen has just as much sick terrain, and we RIDE it. evryone i met there was like"theres not enough snow". so pretty much we had just as good of a powder year as you. i owned grouse.
furthermore, i owned whistler when the pow graced my trip. and when i was riding with the "superiors" i blew them away. they knew nothing of newschool in the backcountry. talking about doing backflips,while i did butters and doublegrab3s over 30 foot cliffs. after my first try, i stomped inthe powder all day. i wouldn't be surprised if these guys could stomp switch in powder first day out. you should fear the day these kids come show you how to ride your "mountains."

i just read every post on all 4 of these pages and its ridiculous how off topic this thread has become. im always game for posting the usual 'poop' or 'boobies' somewhere in a thread but im being dead serious here. the EAST is not the WEST...therefore, a movie released by east coast skiers will in no way shape or form have anything that the west has, so dont ever hold it to that standard and expect to see that kind of terrain because it wont be there. the east is park, urban, pipe, and because thats what we have that is what we will be good at. JD May you are right in saying that if you want an EC movie with park skiing and jibbing then go for this, but when you and trevorwoulddoit or whatever put it down thats when the shit hit the fan. its stupid to turn this into a personal bashing thread and try to prove your point with countless "youre gay" and "fuck you faggot" but people get so pissed off by other peoples ignorance that they cant think of anything better to say. JD may you say you didnt criticize or speak negatively of anyone in particular or whatever and this is for trevorwoulddoit also, but if youre going to critique a video AS MUCH as saying its a poor version of wicked with even worse skiers, at least having something of your own because if you cant prove yourself then you really shouldnt be trying to judge other peoples abilities. yea you can have your own opinion, but just make sure you can back it up. if we east coasters could come out west then we would be doing the same shit that you ski everyday, but we cant. so this is what we do. also, this site is not a place to argue your intelligence or turn it into an intellectual competition...JD may you say that you just want to drop this whole thing and that you keep getting provoked or whatever to post, but you keep coming back. and if it feels like this is a personal bashing on you, its pretty easy to see why. you and trevorwoulddoit came into a post about an east coast movie and automatically turned it into a west vs. east by your first couple of posts...its true. this movie is to show why skiing is fun and who cares if they hit rails that other movies sessioned...the rails are still there, no one moved them, so why not hit them too. its a sick trailer, its pretty sad this thread turned into what it is.
