how hard was it for you to get your first job? i applied at 10 place, no wil hire me. yesturday i turned in 15 apps. and i going to go back to all the store and asking if there will hire me. im just wondering how hard or easy it was for you.
knowing people helps, but every job i've gotten i've applied for and worked for. dont just go in there and be like "are you gonna hire me." just call htem and be like "i was wondering if you had a chance to review my app yet." and be persistant. persistance definetely works

my first job was at an auto glass shop cus my dad works there. and i started working at a resuarant washing dishes a month ago. that job i got cus my friend asked the chef if he wanted another dish washer and he said yeah. so i guess ive been pretty lucky. and washing dishes sucks a lot more than my first job but at least i get a 60 dollar pay check everyweek.
I worked at a Grociery Store from 14 till 22. It was a tits job after I was moved from Bag bitch to stock and then manager. I remember my first paycheck, i though 130 bucks was a lot of money then. Those were the days. Now i'm a investment advisor which pays a ton better.
what kind of places are you applying to? If you're 15, you need to accept that you're going to get a shitty job...especially if you have no experience. Apply to be a dishwasher or bag bitch. You can only move up from there, and most places will hire you again next year for a different job rather than hire someone they dont know. But the big thing is getting over any expectations for a kick ass job. Work sucks.

my mom knew some lady which "hired" me. i've worked once in the last year. in total, i've worked for about 5 days accumulating around $700. if they didn't pay $13/hr, equating to around $150 a "time," i'd be pretty fucked. good thing i don't buy anything.
i'm not just a bag boy, i have to clean the meat room and that shit sucks, plus they added onto the store i'm working at and didn't hire more people so it's a struggle just to get the job done. fucken blows. i wanna new job pretty bad.
well...last summer i submitted 5 apps and got shafted....but now, im 17, and i went over to this ice cream place, handed in my app, manager told me to wait a sec...talked to him for 5 minutes, and he hired me...
Hey, bag boy is an easy ass job. You can go blazed every day. But yeah, i got hired like 30 seconds after my first interveiw. I didnt even turn in an aplication.
