hay, anyone out there with experience on ebay? I have a question. Could u possible explain the costs of using a reserve price? I want to set a reserve of around 300 and a starting price of a bit less..how much in fees will i have if i do sell the item? If i dont sell the item?

You set a reserve so that if the end price is below that price you don't have to sell it. Obviously the idea of a reserve price is the minimum your willing to sell it for.

So the soloution is simple, just start your auction at the lowest price you will take for your skis. ie: $300 that'll save you money on setting a reserve price and if no one bids on your item at $300 you owe ebay nothing unlike if you had an auciton which received bids but did not reach the reserve price
