Ingrown toenail...ouch

anyone else ever had an ingrown toenail. I have one on my big toe and it hurts soo bad, i've had it for like a couple of months and now its worse than ever. I tried some home surgery with a tweezer and nail clippers but i didnt get anywhere. I know i should go to the doctor but it'll hurt even more when its gettin removed. Even when they numbed my foot (this happened on my other big toe) i felt it, the doctor had to inject me 5 times to numb. Ok i think ive gone far enough and other people have far more important things to worry about than toenail but...im looking for support in my time of trouble.

dude. i know exactly what you are going through. i had one, and i tried all that shit so i wouldnt have to go to the doctor and it got worse and worse and worse, and finally it hurt so bad to walk i just went to the docs. the numbed me up and cut my nail right down the middle. i was supposed to pull back the skin so it would grow back right after surgery and i was a lazy ass and didnt do it. it came back and i had the surgery again. this time i am pulling back the skin and making it work. dude, it is so worht it to have the surgery, it feels soooooo much better instanly. i'll post some pics for you kids!

wow i didnt know anyone had gone though the exact same stuff that i had on the other toe. I know its worth it but i can bring myself to do it, ya know what i mean. and omg is sean posts pics you will all see how truly disgusting an infected ingrown toenail is. Luckily my toe isnt infected ...yet

nope not yet...i tore the skin around it up though when i was picking at it. It was bleeding a little while ago. i just looked at it and holy shit it got better. Damn im going to have to go to doctor for sure

yeah my toe did the same shit but it wasn't infected yet....but i did have a fingernail get infected once and the pain was just un-bearable. the numbing shit didn't work on my finger though, so the doctor had to pretend he was just looking at my finger, and then grabbed and just started cutting away with his scalpel. it hurt like shit....i've had that surgery like three times too

oh man that 'surgery' licked balls, you can feel him seperating the nail from the toe then cutting the nail.. didnt hurt one bit during or after but its gotta be one of the grossest feelings in the world.. also when you have an ingrown toenail and somebody steps on your foot, that happend to me at work one time and I almost craped my pants it hurt so bad.

^ it's sooo worth it. it feels better as soon as you get home, even though its bleeding all over the place. and when you have no nail it's not all sensitive like you think. it gets hard and calloused and feels like there is still a nail there.

yeah that shit hurts. luckily i can get to them before they go completely ingrown, but it's friggin painful. i've had my thumbnail squished too... this year. that hurt for a while.

a few months ago i was on some adderall XR 30 and i was just sitting watching tv all tweaked out at 4am trying to go to bed and an hour later i notice i have completely bit off my entire middle finger nail.

i kept peeling layers off going higher and high on the nail until i eventually had no nail left. i think a thin layer still existed or somthing but still very fucked up

nothing hurt that night but the next day was NOT FUN at all. it was so tender and sore. i would bump it on the table and a sharp pain would shoot trough my hand.

ill never do that again... ill tell ya what (hank hill, i sell propane and propane accessories)
