depends. if you're making a movie which you plan to sell, you need licensing. and i would get that before the edit the shit, because sometimes artists want serious cash, or just dont want to endorse there name to ur shit

the main way around it is dont use the whole song, as long as u dont use it all your prolly alright...and dont make a massive production out of it (like Warren Miller big) so as long as your regional and dont use the whole song your probably good
