I have the Giro nine.9 MX with the little visor thingee. I'm not really sure what the visor is for since it barely blocks any sun and i figure goggles are supposed to do that for you.
So what do you guys think of the visor and does anyone have any idea what it's really for?

its there to break, first day out with my Giro Flint I bailed off a roller and face planted, my visor snapped like nothing. You can do without it even though it does look kinda cool.
I'm not center mounted. In fact, I'm BACK from recommended boot center. I'm a crazy son of a bitch. PowderCanuck
I have the same helmet but with tune ups. I think the look with the visor is what seperates me from the retarded skiers with the big leedom helmets and the massive rental ones. I think it's steezy. What it comes down to is that it's just for looks.

^ yes just for looks. and it looks sweet, got one myself

Not just for looks. It comes in very helpful when skiing through trees. Just tuck your chin down and power through low hanging branches without scratching the shit out of your face.
also helps if your going to smash your face...the visor will hit first
'if it doesnt look photoshopped, its not big enough'
^they can be nice, but they also can be a bad thing because they can move your neck around when it normaly wouldnt. i had one this season, i wont next. they are there to look cool, but i dont need it.
This is stupid... he's now the army's greatest asset. Why would they assign him to Antarctica? WE'RE NOT FIGHTING PENGUINS HERE, PEOPLE. They should have him skiing lines in the dunes, picking off terrorists with his homing poles as they gape at his massize switch 9 over Abdul's Gap. - JDMay on T$
i think mine looks cool. i have a silver 99MX with visor
FOR ALL YOUR SKIING NEEDS
helmets are for little fat kids with runny nose's.
they look cool but they don't have any practibility.
if your really woried about smashing your face in buy a face mask.
listen to yourself and what you posted. come on man, does skiing the park have to turn into that much of a fashion show?
Sportin' the bath robe steeze.
NO BRIAN, its I before E except after C, an when sounding like a in a neighbor in weigh and on weekends and holidays and all through out may and you'll always be wrong n
I made a faceplant with my giro 9mx. got a huge crack in the front of it, and my face. but the visor is still there and no damage to it..
I've got a Giro to and I think it's only for good looking this visor and nothing else.
