the tits were good but other wise it was kinda messed up and hard to follow. it didn't make to much sense how it kept jumping around from different characters that had nothing to do with each other

if you didn't like the movie it's probably because you didn't get it. it's an extremly stylized piece. Best movie to come out in a long time.

A freaking amazing movie I thought it was. I don't know how one could not like it. I thought it was clever how it was presented in black n white primarily except for a few certain things. And for whoever said they didn't like it and didn't understand it because it was about three different stories that didn't have anything to do with each other - yeah they did, they all took place in sin city, they all contribute to what that city was and it's more creative switching back from story to story instead of using one story line through out the entire movie.

an amazing movie for cinematography alone, but theres also a fantastic story combining three connected smaller stories. during the movie i lost all sense of time, and was constantly expecting it to end but it kept coming back with more and honestly i would have stayed and watched it for hours more if there had been it. there is no character development, the characters are shells, stereotypes we are all familiar with, but that makes it easy to get into, the villains make you want to punch the screen, they are totally and utterly ruthless, and completely inhuman. if you do not like violence, i suggest you skip this movie as pretty much everything about it is violent.
basically the movie is guys trying to do the right thing, but in the most bloody way possible, i fucking love it.

josh hartnetts part were key, at first i thought why would they put this in the movie, and it all makes sense at the end, you know that bitch is gonna get iced, and i heard that quentin tarantino did those parts and got paid 1 000 000$

Jaime King has the hotest body ever. I'm pretty sure those weren't her boobs though. In Bulletproof Monk she had a very hard, athletic body with MUCH smaller boobs.

I just saw this movie today, and I think it's my new favourite. When I heard the first few opening lines, I thought it was extremely cliche and was extremely annoyed. Then I quickly realised that everything in the movie was cliche and how brilliant it was. Ever single line was cliche. The fact that it takes a single shot to kill a henchman, but the main characters just don't die- cliche, the characters- cliche. I can't wait to buy this movie when it comes on DVD.

yeah i was also bored, it was highly stylized but lacked any depth...and if you say, thats the point it was comic book, then its a cop out because i doubt comic book people would say that themselves.

this is from the other sin city post, i'll paste it in here (its what i though):

i thought it was crap. i thought the aesthetic was really well done and i understood and appreciated its intentions. but i thought it was really just an excuse to showcase gratuitous violence through an ensemble cast (who i was mostly dissappointed with). although they established the comic style, they were not succesful at taking the story beyond that. everything appeared as fluff, all aesthetic no value.

i'm all for non linear story lines (i always appreciated 'slacker' and tarantino of course), but i thought in this case none of the individual stories were well rounded. i thought all of the girls roles were just mundane, rourke, del toro and wood were all interesting though.

but really my main complaint was that the violence was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over the top and i never complain about violence in movies. from my point of view, the violence seemed to be the main focus of the film, not what the director was probably going with: the violent nature of the characters, the violent nature of the environment and how these create violent intentions. it just seemed tacked on and sloppy, a lets show em what they've never seen before. instead of distracting me from all the other weak points of the film, it just bored me. i was over it not long after it started.

the worst part is that i was really really really excited about seeing this one. i've been waiting for it since i saw the original trailer months and months ago.
