Can anyone give me an in depth review on the pistols? In all conditions.
pow: pistols are great. plenty of float for as deep as you can find. tail is stiff enough to keep you stable and tips are soft enough to allow great float.
groomed: they hold an edge very well and have absolutely no top speed. some people will argue that the tips chatter at high speeds, but if you are carving them instead of letting them jump around, no problems at all.
crud: in my opinion, they rank up there with the best in terms of powering though crud and variable conditions.
park: plenty of pop for huge booters. decent flex for pipe. huge platform for stomping landings.
all in all, the pistols are a go anywhere, do anything ski i think. they are a great all-mtn, everyday ski. plenty of power to stomp a 30 foot drop or just carve down a groomer.

i agree with vicious 100%. excellent ski all over the place.
yeah theyre sick. and i think 2 year old ones are cheap now if you can find them. this years arent different.
im just asking because i demoed the vicious and that thing fricken killed it anywhere..just trying to see what people think of the pistol.Ill probably go with the vicious cause that what ive skied on, but im going to try and demo the pistol.by the way thanks for the review vicious
Quite a few people I've talked to who have skiied both have told me that they actually prefer the pistols to the new ski, but not by so large an amount as to make it an obvious choice... it's certainly a preference issue. According to Seth, the one thing that can't be debated is the new bases on the Vicious, which are quite a bit higer-grade, apparently. Just hope they haven't made them less bombproof.
