In light of St.Patricks day I started wondering, why are Irish people so proud to be Irish? They are known internationally as alcoholics, they have been enslaved and discriminated against since time began, they burn if they try to go outside when its sunny, I just dont think they have very much going for them
i hate when people are too proud to be anything lol like irish people, italians, etc
_ about going to france- 'i was gonna try to blend in by wearing a shirt with a french flag on it and a beret, while carrying around a bagette. u think that would work?? jk i'd get my ass beat quick.'--pierceme
I just don't see how people are proud of things they didnt earn. It's not like I'm proud of being EXTREMELY good looking, I didnt earn it. Be proud of something you accomplished like "ski skills" or bomb making abilities.
ya irish does seem to be the cool thing to be, at least in my high school. all these tools wearing hats with clovers on them and what not so they can brag that theyre irish. i'm more irish than 99% of them, but i dont feel the need to tell people.

RANDOM FACT: Irish/Americans, known as the Fenians, were pissed off at the British Government for supporting the south in the American Civil War. These Fenians decided to take it out on Upper Canada, since that was the closest British place at the time being. Irish people then perceeded to get piss drunk, and beat the shit out of their wives until they had no one to breed with, so they began having sex with their cousins. Dirty indbreeds
