getting your liscence

ya well i got my liscence last tuesday and kaitlin my twin didn't haha fucker, and well i wanna know what all of you get put through by your rents. like my rents fucking wouldn't let me drive to the football game on friday, the game was 4 mins from my house. ne1 elses rents anal about where they drive? or nething else about driving?

Driving wasn't a big deal to me when I was younger, so I didn't bother to get a license until I was 18. I guess that's why my parents didn't keep me from driving to places, not that I drove much.

I think it's right for parents to sometimes set limits on where their kids can drive, but that can get out of hand at times. It takes a while to become a good driver, but lots of kids still think they are better than they actually are. They tend to also be ignorant of dangers on the road. And usually it's the parents car the kids drive, and I doubt others would want an inexperienced person driving your own car.

haha, well whoever wrote that first reply is exactly right. It takes such a small period of time to get your license in the USA that there is absoltuley NO way you can become a good, skilled driver in that time. It takes years to become a good driver. Your parents are probably quite right in not letting you drive. 4 minutes, yeah, walk, what's the point in driving for 4 minutes.

because 4 minutes in a car going 60 mph is 4 miles and that's a fact brotha!.........i walk to work probably everyday.....my 3 minute drive to work takes me about an hour to walk. it's some shit. but yea, your parents are gonna be like that till you prove your skills to them........it's how every house hold is. well at least with girls haha......girls suck at driving

well ya i have my own car, but i have to share it with kd when she passes. i dunno how i passed i am the worst driver. thats why i'm glad i have a big car, cause i always drive over curbs and shit. in my parents perence i am a good driver, but once i pull pout the driveway i am just another 16 year old on the road. the state of ohio, where i live, is making it a law in like july that you have to be 18 to get your licence. haha sucks for those kids!!

Your parents prob know you suck, and that's why they don't let you drive. They are somewhat smarterthen you think.

Anyways, anyone that drives over curbs all the time is bound to get in a major accident very soon.

I don't have my license because, I don' have a car, and my parents work all the time, soI would rarely get to use the car anyways, so it seemed like I would be throwing away money and shit.

Ontario's way of gettin ur license is a pain in the ass but whatever. Permit for 8 months to a year (u can get it when u turn 16) and u have to drive with an adult at all times in the passenger seat and no highways and no late night driving. Then you get your G2 which is pretty much the same as a regular license and then a year later you can get your G license! I'm half way done!!

the only difference between the g2 and g class licenses is that with the g you are allowed to drink and drive :-)

fucking 16 year old bitches are the worst drivers. if i were you parents i would let you ride a scooter. And no the driving isn't gong up to 18. in every state they talk about it its not gona happen, the economy would go to shit. You hit curbs? and it's not even snowy? b/c you have a big car you run the risk of seriously fucking someones car up, which in return you will have to pay for. Also b/c you car is big and heavy when you hit a curb you do serious damage to you tires, and control arms, perhaps even your axel if you hit it hard enough> being a nieve 16 year old you have NO idea how much responsibility car driving and ownership is. I hope you dad is good wth cars or else your in for a world of trouble. I bet by the time you are 17 you will have been in at least one accident with another vehicle, I garauntee it will happen.

i was just at timberline on hood, and i was driving my dads huge ass truck, 2001 f250 4 door cab. yea and i hit a 2003 jetta. kind of sucked. i had problems backing out and looking out for all the cars in the fucking parking lot and i just *accidently* hit this little jetta. well damn, it was only a taillight its all good

when i first got my licence, my parents only let me take like 1 person in the car for the first two weeks or so, and they limited where i could go. but that didn't really matter, i just told them that i would go to my friends house like 5 mins away and we would just go drive off some place wherever we wanted. i've had my licence for like 2 months now, i love it. driving=freedom. i can go wherever i want whenever i want. it's great.

I only have my G1 right now, i have to wait 7 more months for my G2 but I drive all over the place. Doesnt matter if its 5 mins or 3 hours, I can drive all of the time.

i have my license...don't worry, the novalty wears off after awhile. I was stoked to get it, but after like the first week, i was like meh. I'm pretty lucky though, my parents never expect me to fill the van up cause it's too expensive..yee haw.

I've been driving for over 4 years now. no accidents, and no tickets. I'm still paying $250+ per month on car insurance though. what a rip. you should get money back if you never have accidents

I drive a 2001 GMC Yukon and have yet to get into an accident but now im prolly gonna jinx myself so *knock on wood* but ya....
The whole OMG i have my license starts to wear off once people just to expect u to drive them places and your parents want you to run errands for them. but ya! Cryss that feather thing is insane i dont know how u drive with it!?!?!

in my state when u get your lisence you can't drive with anyone under 25 in the car for the first six month u have your lisence. that was gay but that has long passed for me.
