wouldnt a uncrossed mute be a seatbelt? or not.

what is that thing where he grabs the top of his boot, bulls that back, and kicks his other foot forward? i beleive somebody did that grab with a big 180 in propaganda.

The 'tweaked' thing was spreading his legs to slow his rotation. He was going by and stopped his rotation so that he could stomp switch. and stomp he did. IT was seatbelt by the way.

it was just a mute, 4 years ago a mute was what a 'seatbelt' is today, and a mute cross was a mute cross, but everyone said it was lame to not cross your skis and really ugly. my how things change. a seatbelt is just like saying toxic, it is pointless and just makes things more complicated

(trust me, the '' things aren't actually there)

OK....
an uncrossed mute is a METHOD,
a seat belt is where ur arm crosses over ur body over your thighs behind ur knees and u grab safety,
a mute has always been crossed, the first ever mute (which was in a 360) was crossed, thats how it happened

thats what i think/know

maybe the first one was crossed but like 4 years back whenever you grabbed the mute section of your ski crossed or uncrissed it was a mute, its pointless and stupid for making so many different names for the same things

(trust me, the '' things aren't actually there)

ok, everyone try to look at it like this:

a mute grab, no matter whether your skis are crossed or not is when you take a hand (lets say right hand for this case) and grab around the front toepiece of your other ski (left) with your arms IN FRONT of your shins. (TRY THIS IN A CHAIR)

now for a seatbelt:

take your arm (right) and reach it across your body to your left hip. now tuck your legs up and try to grab your left foot in the middle of your foot (same place you would grab for a left handed safety) notice how fucking hard this is to do just sitting in your chair. think about how much tougher it would be in full ski clothes, boots and skis.

turpin is pretty much the only kid that i know that can do this grab that well. he has those long dangling arms that let him reach that far across his body.

people, if you are going to try to say something (like: 'no, there is no such thing as a seatbelt grab, it's just another name for an uncrossed mute') please know what you are talking about first. this is a waste of my time to explain shit like this, but i do it because you obviously aren't respecting the trick/grab for what it is and how fucking hard it is, and i feel that chris deserves the credit.

yeah joker is right and a hutony is an uncrossed mute with the foot you are grabbing up like a lui kang but grabbing across with your opposite handand then bending your leg that is down a little bit backwards

Seatbelt is Parallel. You are correct. Seatbelt is a cool name, I was just laying it out that it isn't a brand new grab. Parallel came from rollerblading, along with most all the tricks we do.

i thot it was only a parallel if he put his right arm over his left thigh to grab left ski? and a seatbelt is just an uncrossed mute? and a huntony is a mute with non-grabbed leg straight? or am i totally wrong and confused
