Ok, first off, i know how to fiberglass/carbonfiber, shape wood and all that other good stuff (longboard construction) and i wanna try making a pair of skis. bout 173cm, and pretty wide. i was thinkin bout maybe puttin in some kind of grind plate, but i dunno. I don't know where to get P-tex base material, or edge material. if you know anyplaces where i could buy this stuff, help me out. thanks, and what do you think? u think i can do it?

You can order ptex from companies like KUU and TOKO. Some friends of mine made a snowboard when we were in highschool, and they rode it and it worked pretty good. let us know how it turns out.

Ahh yah one time I tried to make my own out of K 'nex and a lot of duct tape......it doesnt work so dont do that.

no yah dont need a press. thats just what the use for mass production, like skateboards. do you know those companies websites? and how bout edge stuff? thanks.
